Blast off into a day of exploration, discovery, and hands-on learning at Girl Scout Day at Sci-Port Discovery Center! This special event is designed to inspire girls through engaging STEM experiences focused on space science, robotics, and the incredible contributions of women in STEM fields.
Participants will enjoy: Women in STEM activities and discussions highlighting inspiring careers and achievements. Ozobot Robotics challenges that introduce coding, problem-solving, and engineering concepts. A fascinating Planetarium Show that explores the wonders of space and astronomy. Full access to Sci-Port's interactive exhibits and learning experiences.
All registered Girl Scouts and leaders may attend for $10 per person. Girls who wear their Girl Scout uniform or Girl Scout shirt will receive a FREE ICEE during the event.
To help maximize time for activities, families are encouraged to have girls eat lunch before arriving. Concessions will be available for purchase through Sci-Port.
Parents and siblings are welcome to attend and enjoy the Discovery Center; however, they will be charged standard Sci-Port general admission rates at the door. Because of limited space in the STEM Lab, parents and siblings are not included in the Girl Scout STEM activities and will not be able to participate in the Women in STEM, Ozobot, or other Girl Scout-exclusive sessions.
