Girl Scouts Celebrate 110 Years
Girl Scouts across the state of Louisiana will gather to celebrate 110th Girl Scout anniversary.
Girl Scouts of the USA was founded in Savannah, Georgia on March 12th, 1912. Now, nearly 110 years later, Girl Scouts of Louisiana – Pines to the Gulf (GSLPG) will gather to celebrate this momentous occasion! The organization will gather on Saturday, March 12th, 2022, at Cajun Harley Davidson in Scott, LA.
The event will feature competitive Bikers versus Girl Scouts competitions, a DJ, a magician, food trucks, fun jumps, juggling lessons, and much more! In addition to this, Girl Scouts are able to participate in the Cookie Recipe contest; girls will incorporate their favorite cookies into sweet or savory recipes! The competition will be judged by popular vote of those in attendance.
Vitalant, formerly known at United Blood Services, will be present at the event and will host a blood drive. GSLPG has partnered with Vitalant to help combat the nationwide blood shortage.
This event is open to all Girl Scouts along with their families. Those interested in joining Girl Scouts can also join in on the festivities!
