Girl Scouts Doing Good
GSLPG is partnering with Goodwill Industries to Do Good in Louisiana! Goodwill Industries' mission is improving people's lives through the power of work and GSLPG is thrilled to work together to achieve that goal by Doing Good in their own communities.
Giving Drive + Patch
All girls who donate five (5) grocery sacks OR one (1) 25-gallon garbage bag filled with gently used clothing or household goods at a Goodwill Donation Center near you between May 1 - May 31 can earn a complimentary patch! After dropping off your donation, tell us about your experience here to earn the patch!
If there are two or more Girl Scouts in the same household, they jointly need eight (8) grocery sacks or two (2) garbage bags. Patches will be mailed straight to you, while supplies lasts.
Expand your reach by collecting items from family, friends, and neighbors!
Review this Guide to Spring Cleaning for tips on how to sort and prepare your Goodwill donations.
North vs. South
Who will donate more, the north or south regions of GSLPG? Let’s find out with a friendly competition between fellow Girl Scouts! A weekly update will be made on the GSLPG Facebook page with how much has been donated. Donations from the Alexandria regions will be split between North and South totals.
Girl Scout Juniors (4th and 5th grade) are invited to participate in an essay contest!
Judges from Goodwill and GSLPG will select one winner from each grade. Winners will receive a trophy and be spotlighted during the virtual celebration on June 1st!
