Early Bird Renewal

Early Bird Starts April 1st, 2020

Early Bird Renewal is an opportunity for a head-start on the next Girl Scout membership year (2020/2021), all while earning fun rewards!

By renewing early, caretakers can make sure their daughter(s) will secure their spot in the same troop for the upcoming year. Plus, it will be one less item on your very full list when fall arrives and you’re deep into back-to-school mode.

This year, the Early Bird Renewal period will run from April 1st, 2020 until May 15th, 2020. Renewing during this time period will guarantee free rewards, only offered during this time frame.

*No financial assistance will be offered during the Early Bird campaign.

Early Birds can look forward too...

Bridging is an important transition in a Girl Scout’s life. It’s a defining moment when a Girl Scout becomes aware of her achievements and is ready for new adventures and responsibilities as she levels up in Girl Scouts. Celebrating this change should be fun, personalized, and memorable for everyone involved.

There are five opportunities to Bridge. Our Girl Scout Shop makes the transition easy by putting together pre-made bridging kits. Contact the shop, 1-800-960-2093, to purchase a kit today!

  1. Daisy to Brownie ($8.00)
  2. Brownie to Junior ($9.50)
  3. Junior to Cadette ($9.50)
  4. Cadette to Senior ($8.00)
  5. Senior to Ambassador ($8.00)

Patch Progressions

Each girl that renews during April 1st - May 15th will receive the second patch progression for the 2020-2021 Girl Scout year.

Each member that renews between April 1st - May 15th will receive one t-shirt in their size while supplies last. This year we decided to create a shirt that represents our council with both pine trees and a body of water (pines to the gulf).

You will receive an email 12-48 hours after renewing, requesting your shirt size. Those who do not submit a size will not receive a shirt. If you do not receive the email requesting shirt size within 48 hours of renewing please let us know at info@gslpg.org

*t-shirts are while supplies last

Those without a shirt size submission will not receive a shirt. The form will also be emailed out between 12-48 hours after you renew.

Deadline for filling out the form is May 18th, 2020.

Renewing your membership with Cookie Dough?

Cookie Dough is a benefit earned through participating in our Girl Scout Cookie Program. By reaching goals, girls can earn monetary rewards in the form of Cookie Dough. The money earned can be spent in the council shop, used to register for council events, and most importantly, it can be used to register for the 2020/2021 membership year! Financial Assistance is not offered during the Early Bird program, so by using Cookie Dough you can still earn all rewards.

There is a 3-5 day turnaround time on all Cookie Dough renewal requests, so make sure to fill out the form ASAP to earn time specific rewards.

Cookie Dough does have an expiration date. The Cookie Dough that you have earned from the previous cookie sale expires in April each year. Early Bird Renewal can be an opportunity to use funds before they expire.

Who can renew during Early Bird?

All currently registered members! During Early Bird parents or guardians can renew themselves and their Girl Scouts, and troop leaders can renew themselves and their troop members.

Parents, troops, and volunteers can easily renew memberships for themselves or their girl(s) online with a credit or debit card using MY GS. Renewing early gives you more time to ask for help and address technical issues before the fall rush.

I’m a girl, what is the benefit of registering early?

Renew now and your free your mind to start thinking of all the things to come. Girl programs, outdoor events, STEM, Travel and destinations, and camps…we’re putting the finishing touches on events for our 2019 Fall Program year calendar.

I’m a parent, what is the benefit to me to register my daughter early?

By renewing now, parents get to make sure their daughter(s) will be right back in the same troop by securing their spot. Plus, it will be one less item on your very full list when fall arrives and you’re deep into back-to-school mode.

I’m a troop leader, why should I Early Bird register?

Troop Leaders who Early Bird get to head into the summer with knowing if all their girls will be back in the fall and can start effectively planning activities for the coming year. You can also offer spots for new girls in time for recruitment. You can have your roster ready and be able to hit the ground running once the new membership begins. Quick and easy online registration allows you to utilize the convenience of registering your whole troop online.

I'm a Lifetime Member, how do I earn rewards?

Lifetime Members can earn Early Bird rewards too!

In order to be counted in renewal numbers and receive incentives, Lifetime Members must go into MyGS and renew their volunteer position.
