Our council is a charter council with Girl Scouts of the USA, supporting nearly 6,000 girls in partnership with close to 2,000 volunteers in 42 parishes in Louisiana west of the Mississippi River through council-sponsored girl programs and activities, local resources and support, and adult learning opportunities. Our headquarters is located in Lafayette and we have regional offices in Alexandria, Lake Charles, Monroe and Shreveport.

After 60 days, an employee has the option to elect health, dental, and vision insurance. Currently, while employed, employer pays a portion of employee only health and dental insurance, 100% employee only paid life insurance, and 100% employee only paid short term disability premiums. After one year of employment, an employee has the option to elect 401K (3 years vested) and employer pays 100% of employee only long term disability premium while employed.
