When you join Girl Scouts of Louisiana – Pines to the Gulf, you join a diverse team who are dedicated to helping girls find their inner G.I.R.L. (Go-getter, Innovator, Risk-taker, Leader). Our work is important in helping build the next generation of leaders, empowering them to stand up for themselves as well as those around them. We foster growth both in the girls we serve as well as the volunteers we manage. We believe in building girls of courage, confidence and character who make the world a better place and are consistently trying to be innovative and nimble as we try to match pace with 21st century girls.
Our work is not life threatening nor urgent, but it is important. By working here, you find your own inner G.I.R.L. and become interconnected to the national Girl Scout family. Our council is a charter council with Girl Scouts of the USA, supporting nearly 6,000 girls in partnership with close to 2,000 volunteers in 42 parishes in Louisiana west of the Mississippi River through council-sponsored girl programs and activities, local resources and support, and adult learning opportunities. Our headquarters is located in Lafayette and we have regional offices in Alexandria, Lake Charles, Monroe and Shreveport.
Girl Scouts of Louisiana – Pines to the Gulf council provides equal employment opportunities (EEO) to all employees and applicants for employment without regard to race, sex, color, religion, sexual orientation, national origin, age, disability or status as a covered veteran in accordance with applicable federal, state and local laws.
