Katherine serves the Monroe region in the program department, where she has been since 2010. She enjoys sharing her Girl Scout knowledge and experience with volunteers and girls so they can have a meaningful experience in Girl Scouts. She was a Girl Scout Junior and Cadette as a girl. She served as Troop Leader for 15 years, held various service unit positions and was an operational volunteer for the council in the field of fund development. Katherine attended University of Southwestern Louisiana, studying the field of Horticulture. She owned a retail plant nursery for 18 years before joining GSLPG staff in 2008. She is a recipient of several service unit awards, the Appreciation Pin, the Honor Pin, the Thanks Badge, and was named a Women of Distinction for her work with church, community and Girl Scouts in Lafayette, LA. She is married to Truman Stagg and have two married adult children and two grandchildren. Her daughter Laura is a lifetime member and her granddaughter Jaylynn is a Girl Scout Daisy. She credits her mother and father for allowing her to be a Girl Scout as a girl and encouraging her to live her life with the values of the Promise and Law.
