| Participating in Girl Scouting can change the way girls see their world and their place in it. Through activities that are girl-driven and by working in partnership with adults, girls learn the importance of personal responsibility, the value of goal-setting, the spirit of teamwork and the thrill of accomplishment.
The Girl Scout Leadership Development Experience incorporates three "keys” to leadership:
-
Discover - Girls understand themselves and their values and use their knowledge and skills to explore the world.
-
Connect - Girls care about, inspire, and team with others locally and globally.
-
Take Action - Girls act to make the world a better place.
Girls can participate in Girl Scouting as part of a troop or as an individually registered member.
Girl Scout grade levels are as follows: Girl Scout Daisies(Kindergarten – Grade 1) Girl Scout Brownies(Grades 2-3) Girl Scout Juniors(Grades 4-5) Girl Scout Cadettes(Grades 6-8) Girl Scout Seniors(Grades 9-10) Girl Scout Ambassadors(Grades 11-12)
