Scout Council Challenge (January 15 - April 30, 2013)
The Great
American Can Roundup Scout Council Challenge, sponsored by the Can
Manufacturers
Institute (CMI),
is an annual contest open to all registered Girl Scouts of
all ages (
Daisies, Brownies, Cadets, Seniors, and Ambassadors) andtheir area
Councils. Girl Scout Troops compete to recycle the most aluminum beverage cans
per capita between Jan.15, and April 30. Councils vie for top recycling awards
based on the cumulative total pounds of beverage cans recycled through their
scouts' recyclingactivities. Go to www.cancentral.com/roundup to register and find virtually everything
needed to create a successful Roundup.
