The tea will be open to the public and includes the following: Guests are invited to Fort Jesup to enjoy a lady's afternoon tea. Guests will learn the etiquette of the day, early tea games, and the difference between "high" and "low" tea, and how one's ability to set a tea table affected one's social standing. Join us in the parlor at Fort Jesup to sip a little bit of history. The tea demonstration is at 2:00 pm. Following the tea will be a campout exclusively for Girl Scouts. Girls can set up camp while the park ranger finishes with her park duties. Afternoon/Night activities will include open hearth cooking demonstrations (their dinner will actually be cooked) along with other period activities such as candle and/or soap making. And of course, singing/stories/s’mores around the campfire. In the morning breakfast will be served. Cost is $10 per person which will include dinner, snack, and breakfast. This event will be limited to 25 people. 2 adults are needed to serve as being "in charge” of the girls and setting up camp. NO TAGALONGS, only girls of these ages and their adult chaperones may attend. For more information contact Kara Guillory at firstname.lastname@example.org or 1-800-960-2093
